Acerca de Matías
I grew up in Buenos Aires and I currently live in the province of Córdoba.
All through my childhood and teenage years I studied English. It helped me to understand that a language is, more than anything else, a tool for communication.
As a kid I loved reading, and through books I discovered the power of words in my imagination. My fascination with language was seeded right then, and just like a tree, it has been growing ever since.
I'm also a musician. I started playing drums when I was 13, and picked up bass a few years ago. Music is the true universal language that is understood by people of all cultures and backgrounds, and it has the power to evoke strong emotions and reactions in listeners.
Last but not least, I'm a serious pizza enthusiast. I'm always eager to try new recipes and toppings, and I never shy away from a good looking pizza.

I teach 1-on-1 online lessons on Zoom, Skype, Google Meet and Discord.
I try to keep my classes conversational and as centered in AR Spanish as possible.
I’m quite relaxed in terms of tutor-student relationship. I don’t like being ‘the one who knows everything and is always right’, and I stay away from the masterclass format. You know, the ‘I-speak-you-nod’ format. I like to be able to provide you with clear explanations and guidance, but I also want you to get involved and really understand and use the language!
I normally use English as the ‘base language’ for explanations and to go further into vocabulary items, but I’ll encourage (and challenge) you to speak Spanish right off the bat. I’m constantly on the lookout for cool resources that will make the learning process efficient, informative, and enjoyable.
