1) Good English skills as well as Mandarin.
2) Makes the lesson personal to yourself i.e. your own hobbies, likes / dislikes, job etc
3) Can explain a word or concept in multiple different ways which is particularly helpful if you don't understand it in the first instance
4) Flexible with lesson times

I would recommend Yimeng to anyone looking to learn or improve on their Mandarin speaking and writing skills. 10/10!

Yimens’s teaching method and her explanations are very approachable and easy to understand with a lot of examples. She shows me how native speakers would usually speak. I found every lesson I had with Yimeng useful in my daily life and felt that my Mandarin level has improved pretty much thanks to Yimeng She is willing to answer and provide me further knowledge about anything I’m confused with or interested in.
