Acerca de Mason
Hey there! My name is Mason. I’m a TESOL-certified native English teacher from London with over 8 years of teaching experience, and I’ve been teaching online since 2018. I’m 25 years old and currently work with students from many different backgrounds and countries.
I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Media Production from Southampton Solent University. This background allows me to help students not only with general English, but also with practical, real-world communication skills such as presentations, creative projects, media, and professional communication.
I speak Spanish fluently and have lived in Spain for many years. Living in a foreign country and using Spanish every day completely changed how I see language learning. I experienced first-hand how challenging (and sometimes frustrating!) it can be to learn a new language, which is why I became so passionate about teaching English. I first started by helping Spanish friends prepare for exams, then teaching people in my village, before moving fully into online teaching in 2018.
I’m also currently learning Chinese Mandarin, which helps me further understand how my students feel when learning a new language, from pronunciation challenges to building confidence when speaking. Being a language learner myself allows me to teach with more patience, empathy, and practical strategies.
I teach English the same way I learned Spanish: through speaking, practice, and having fun. My lessons are interactive, relaxed, and always adapted to your needs, whether you want to improve conversation, confidence, exams, travel English, or professional communication.
I also worked/volunteered for four summers at an English immersion camp (Diverbo – Pueblo Inglés), where I helped Spanish teenagers improve their English through 1-to-1 conversations, games, activities, and real-life situations. This experience helped me learn how to adapt my teaching style to different ages, levels, and personalities.
I love learning about other cultures and have backpacked around Europe and Asia, which helps me connect easily with students and understand different learning styles and goals.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy mountaineering and being in nature, as well as parkour and kickboxing to stay active. I also love reading and playing video games.

Teaching Experience
I have been teaching English for over 8 years and have experience working with students aged between 4 and 70. I’ve taught beginners to advanced learners, helping students improve their confidence, fluency, pronunciation, and overall communication skills.
My academic background is varied, which helps me adapt to different types of learners. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Media Production from Southampton Solent University, and I previously studied Information Technology. I am also certified in Health Management and Nutrition, coding (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), and I have completed a 120-hour TEFL certificate. This allows me to support students with general English, professional communication, and more technical or academic topics when needed.
My teaching methodology is quite simple: speaking. In my opinion, the best way to learn a language is by using it. My lessons focus heavily on conversation, where we speak in English as much as possible. I will correct your mistakes in a supportive and clear way, helping you improve naturally without feeling embarrassed or stressed.
I aim to keep my lessons fun, relaxed, and motivating, as I know first-hand how scary it can be to speak in another language. We can read texts, ask and answer questions, tell stories, and talk about a wide range of topics based on your interests and goals.
If you prefer a more structured or formal approach, I can also teach grammar and language foundations, including vocabulary, adjectives, verbs, pronouns, sentence structure, and more. Lessons are always adapted to your level and learning style.
