I've believed for as long as I can remember that education has the power to change lives. It's more than learning vocabulary or grammar—it's about opening doors, building confidence, and creating opportunities that might not have existed before. I believe education is a fundamental human right, and I also believe you're never too old to learn something new.
Early in my career, I worked at a dual-language school in Denver, Colorado, where students learned in both English and Spanish. Watching children become bilingual—and seeing how language connected them to their communities, cultures, and futures—deepened my passion for teaching. Today, as an American living in Spain and learning Spanish myself, I experience firsthand both the challenges and the joy of learning another language. It has made me an even more patient, empathetic, and effective teacher.
My teaching philosophy is simple: every student is capable of learning when they feel supported, respected, and encouraged. Learning takes patience, compassion, curiosity, and someone who truly believes in your potential. My goal is to create lessons that are engaging, personalized, and practical so that students not only improve their English, but also gain the confidence to use it in everyday life.

Hi! I'm Sarah, a native English speaker from the United States with over 15 years of experience in education, coaching, and teaching.
My lessons are about much more than grammar—they're about helping you communicate naturally and confidently in real life.
