I took classes with Monica for several months and was able to make huge improvements in a very short time. A learner-centered teacher, Monica is able to convey difficult ideas into easy to understand lessons and tailor makes each lesson to fit your specific needs. There were several concepts that had been confusing me for some time (reflexive verbs, imperatives, etc.) that she was able to clear up in a matter of minutes with an explanation and a couple of crystal clear examples, something other teachers I've had in the past were never able to do. Monica also understood that I had a good grasp of reading and writing, but wanted to be able to speak with fluency. Although reading and writing are necessary in learning any language, Monica customized each lesson to ensure that I would get plenty of practice speaking. She was always well prepared with her lessons, created professional learning materials, and kept things interesting by varying learning activities and focusing the content on things I was interested in, such as Mexican culture, food, entertainment, etc.

Monica is an excellent teacher and no matter what level your Spanish is, no matter what question you may have, she is sure to have the answer that resonates with you.
