Acerca de Rosa
My name is Rosa Alcaraz, a Foreign Language teacher (Spanish). I have a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Granada. I have spent two years in different universities (Universität zu Köln, Germany, and Complutense University of Madrid) through which I have been able to deepen my knowledge of how to teach a foreign language.

I started teaching Spanish in 2016, during my stay in Germany. I have taught classes to students of many different levels, teaching through Spanish even when it is an entry-level class. However, at times, I have used English for some explanations. Nevertheless, in my opinion, the best way to acquire a second language (in this case Spanish) is to have it taught in the language that you want to learn. As a teacher, I always try to follow the line of the Instituto Cervantes since it is the reference body for the teaching of Spanish. I have also had students who just needed someone to talk to and thus increase their fluency and correct certain aspects of the spoken language. To do this, I use conversational techniques such as the reading and discussing of different current articles in Spanish, with the aim of increasing the students' vocabulary and oral fluency. For me, it is a priority that my students feel confident when it comes to putting into practice their learning of the Spanish language. I have also had students who just needed someone to talk to and thus increase their fluency and correct certain aspects of the spoken language. To do this, I use conversational techniques such as the reading and discussing different current articles in Spanish, with the aim of increasing the students' vocabulary and oral fluency. I have been taking private lessons from Rosa for 8 months now. I was struggling with the language and the confidence to speak it. She has been a great help to me and my confidence to speak Spanish has increased greatly since taking lessons with her. Her classes are conversational and relaxed, she makes me feel very comfortable and not afraid to make mistakes. She helps me with my grammar and slowly together we are increasing my vocabulary. I would highly recommend Rosa as a teacher to anybody looking to improve their Spanish regardless of their level.
